I flew on December 12, [redacted] (TK703) from Hurghada to Istanbul. The airline caused numerous delays resulting in me missing my connecting flight (TK1721 to Istanbul). Consequently, I had to undergo another PCR test to fly to Berlin on December 13, [redacted] (TK1723) at a cost of €26.83. As the airline was responsible for the delay, I am seeking reimbursement for these expenses. How can I proceed? - Karen Limberg

Good morning, We have a flight booked for December 30 from Bologna to Istanbul. As Turkish citizens, we are aware of the new restrictions. We are getting our COVID test on Monday and want to know how to present the results at the airport. Is the message sent to us online sufficient? Is a rapid test acceptable? Please contact us promptly. Aybek İşiksun

My flight has been rescheduled from TK9250/ZB1003 to TK9248/ZB1001 on Sunday, January 10, [redacted]. Recently, I received a notification indicating that the new flight will depart from Albania at 8:20 for Istanbul, but the Turkish Airlines website indicates 7:20. Can you clarify the correct departure time? Originally, my flight had a 10-hour layover, which has now been extended to 21 hours. Will accommodation be provided during this extended layover? If so, where is the hotel located? Can I make a reservation now? Additionally, how will my checked luggage be handled? Will it be transferred directly to Edinburgh, or do I need to claim it during the layover? Thank you, Esteriana

I need assistance with canceling and refunding my flight from Istanbul to Jakarta on the 3rd of January [redacted] with Turkish Airlines booked through Gotogate. The Indonesian government closed its borders for international visitors unexpectedly due to COVID-19. Despite my attempts to reach Gotogate for assistance, they have not responded to my emails. Can Turkish Airlines help me directly with the cancellation and refund process? Thank you.

Dear Turkish Airlines, I am an upset Italian traveler who faced unnecessary stress and expenses due to incorrect information provided by the LUCANGELI agency in PORDENONE. They incorrectly advised me to undergo a molecular swab test in Italy within 72 hours before my Turkish Airlines flight and have it translated into Arabic. I had to travel 45 km for the test, wait in line for over an hour, and pay [redacted] euros for the urgent processing, only to discover that it was not required by any of the airport authorities along my journey. I was also misled about baggage rules, leading me to leave behind my second bag while other passengers carried theirs freely. I am requesting compensation of [redacted] euros for the unnecessary expenses and stress caused by this ordeal. I hope for a prompt and considerate response from your team. Attached are my ticket and the unnecessary test certificate for your reference. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Turkish Airline Complaint I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent transfer from Tbilisi to Istanbul and Almaty. My transfer took over 13 hours, and I had booked a business class ticket costing more than [redacted] euros for each leg of the journey. Unfortunately, the service I received was below par and far from acceptable. During the transfer, I was travelling alone with my 1.5-month-old baby, and I was surprised that no assistance was offered, including accommodation. I struggled with my baby and two heavy bags, feeling exhausted and unsupported. Even at the lounge's reception, I received no help. Eventually, I had to arrange and find a hotel by myself without any assistance in transporting my belongings or my baby. I have evidence, including videos, of the poor service and treatment I endured, and I intend to file a complaint with the worldwide airline complaint service and contact the general manager of Turkish Airlines. This experience is unacceptable, and I will not let it go unnoticed. Thank you.

Dear Customer Service Team, I am Shimul Haque, a loyal passenger from Bangladesh currently residing in Italy. Unfortunately, my recent air ticket purchase was rejected by your airline. This occurred after I traveled back to Bangladesh due to the coronavirus situation in Italy. Upon contacting the agency from which I purchased the ticket, I was informed that my ticket had been canceled. I am confused and concerned about why my ticket was canceled, especially since it was supposed to be a round-trip ticket. I have attached a copy of my ticket for your reference. I was unaware that my ticket would be canceled after my departure on December 29th. It is disappointing that I was not informed earlier to avoid this inconvenience. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue promptly as I now have to purchase a new ticket unexpectedly. I hope for your understanding and swift action in rectifying this situation. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, SH

Dear Community, I would like to share my recent experience with Turkish Airlines. As an American citizen visiting family in Croatia, I unfortunately tested positive for Covid-19 on January 5th. This prevented me from being able to fly home as planned on January 7th. After completing isolation and obtaining a doctor's clearance to travel, I reached out to Turkish Airlines in Croatia to arrange my return trip. Despite receiving an email from Turkish Airlines approving my travel through Istanbul to the USA and subsequently booking my flight for January 17th, I encountered a sudden reversal of decision without explanation. Despite multiple attempts to seek clarification through emails and calls, I did not receive a satisfactory response. Upon arriving at the airport on January 17th, I was met with unhelpful and dismissive behavior from a Turkish Airlines employee. The lack of professionalism and empathy in handling my situation left me feeling stressed and disappointed. I hope for a resolution to this matter soon.

Dear Turkish Airlines Customer Service, I am writing to address an issue with my recent flight experience with your airline. On 28 December [redacted], I flew on Turkish Airlines flight (TK) [redacted] from London Heathrow to Accra, Ghana. Unfortunately, upon arrival, my checked luggage did not make it with me. The baggage claim process was challenging as the airport staff were busy assisting other passengers, and I was unable to resolve the issue on the same day. Due to the delay in receiving my luggage, I experienced inconvenience and distress as I did not have any additional clothing with me besides what was in my missing bags. I am requesting compensation for the inconvenience and distress caused by the delayed luggage. I hope for a prompt resolution to this matter. Sincerely, Philip Cooke Note: I attempted to send this letter to your physical address on 21 January [redacted], but it was returned to me. Kindly review your website for updated contact information, as the complaint section seems inaccessible.

Subject: Report of Fraudulent COVID-19 Test Result and Smuggling Activity I am writing to report a concerning incident involving a passenger with the initials W.M.A.A.A. who flew on flight TK [redacted] from Istanbul to HBE Alexandria Borg al Arab Airport on February 16. This passenger, who is a frequent traveler between Egypt and Istanbul, has been allegedly manipulating his COVID-19 test results to cross borders without undergoing proper testing. This behavior poses a risk to other passengers' safety. Additionally, the individual is accused of smuggling tobacco into Istanbul from Egypt by concealing it among food and vegetables. The attached fraudulent COVID-19 test result contains the passport details of the individual in question. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards

I made a flight booking from HBE to LAX through Istanbul with Harty Tours Alexandria. Due to Covid-19, I needed to change the booking date, but the agent asked for [redacted] Egyptian pounds. Turkish Airlines in Alexandria clarified that no fees were necessary for the change and assisted in resolving the issue with the agent, Mr. Akram, after a lengthy discussion. However, during my return trip, the flight from Istanbul to Alexandria got canceled, and the agent failed to update me. I only learned about the cancellation at the boarding desk, forcing me to reschedule for the next day to avoid an extensive airport stay. I suspect the lack of notification was intentional on the agent's part. I am Moheb Gadelkarim with a flight on December 22, return initially scheduled for December 24 but changed to December 25, assisted by agent Mr. Akram of Harty Tours Alexandria.

Hello, I am looking to purchase two airline tickets to Thailand for September and have some inquiries regarding the current COVID-19 situation: 1. Is it possible to exchange airline tickets without a specific reason? 2. If ticket exchange is permitted, can I switch them to a different destination, such as Zanzibar, even if the original tickets were for Thailand? 3. It states on the website that flight tickets can be changed until December 31, [redacted] - does this mean I can make a booking for [redacted]? 4. If I am unvaccinated and vaccination becomes mandatory, can I still exchange my ticket for a destination where vaccination is not compulsory? 5. What are the costs if I need to change a non-flexible plane ticket? 6. Are PCR tests mandatory for travel with your airline, or is a rapid COVID-19 test sufficient? Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, Jakob Š.

Subject: Request for Compensation or Voucher Extension Regarding Ticket [redacted][redacted] Dear Turkish Airlines, In [redacted], I purchased a business class ticket ([redacted][redacted]) from Minsk to Bangkok (PNR: TVRKGL) with the intention to proceed despite missing the Thailand visa. Unfortunately, upon my arrival in Istanbul, I was informed of this issue. Your staff expressed regret for not notifying me prior to boarding in Minsk and suggested using the ticket later in the year. Due to the prolonged travel restrictions surrounding COVID-19, Turkish Airlines has been unable to operate the route for this entire period. Therefore, I kindly request either reimbursement or a voucher that can be utilized on alternative routes within your airline. I appreciate your attention to this matter. Best Regards, Y.K.

Re: Bookings SCVPIX and UWRVNL (6 people total) I am a first-time Turkish Airlines customer and incredibly disappointed with the service I have received so far. Four days ago, my family of 6 booked a total of 24 flights with your airline. However, today we were informed that 18 out of the 24 flights have been cancelled. This has caused a lot of inconvenience as we had been planning this trip for weeks. Our oldest child is graduating from college in the US, and as expats in Doha, we were looking forward to this journey. Due to the flight cancellations, we are now faced with a dilemma. If we decide to keep the remaining flights, we will have to change our travel dates, impacting our non-refundable accommodation booking. On the other hand, if we choose to cancel, there seems to be conflicting information regarding the refund process. One agent mentioned a 3-month wait for a cash refund, while another indicated a 10-day refund period for credit card payments. Moreover, if we decide to stick with the revised itinerary, we will have extended layovers at the Istanbul airport without accommodation. This poses a challenge, especially with four children in tow. Any assistance or clarification on these matters would be greatly appreciated as we weigh our options. Your prompt attention to this matter is crucial. Thank you.
