On August 18, I cancelled my Scribd subscription through my online account. However, upon reviewing my recent credit card statement, it appears that Scribd has continued to charge me despite my cancellation. I believed the cancellation was successful after multiple attempts, but the charges persisted. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I may have to escalate it to the Better Business Bureau as a last resort. The lack of a customer service phone line is concerning for a company of this scale, especially when trying to address billing discrepancies. It seems that without the ability to reach out directly, cancellations are being overlooked. I seek immediate confirmation of my cancellation and a confirmation code for my records. Thank you. - Russell H.

I bought a subscription last month, but I received a notification that the fee was charged to my card. I can't access your website or app. I tried to cancel immediately but couldn't due to the issue mentioned earlier. I then forgot about it. I am requesting a refund and want to cancel my subscription. Thank you. Please respond promptly.

Hello, I recently noticed a recurring charge of $9.99 on my account, but it seems to be related to Scribd, yet I do not have a membership with them. I do not recall any email correspondence with Scribd and I only made a one-time purchase of sheet music. Despite not signing up for any membership, I am still being charged this monthly fee. I would appreciate assistance in resolving this issue and stopping the recurring charges. Thank you.

I signed up for Scribd and canceled within the free trial period, yet I was still charged after a month. I cancelled again and deleted my account, but another charge was applied. I'm not looking for a refund, I just want the charges to stop. Dealing with this has been frustrating. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

On August 18, [redacted], I canceled my Scribd account online. Despite this, Scribd has been charging me monthly without any communication regarding my cancellation. I have tried to contact their customer service multiple times to resolve this issue, but have not received any response. Scribd does not provide a telephone number for customer support as advertised, and their online customer service does not acknowledge my cancellation requests. I have clearly stated that I want my account canceled, no further charges on my card, a confirmation number for the cancellation, and for my requests to stop being ignored. Russell H. I recently contacted my bank regarding an issue with my debit card. While trying to use it, the system prompted me to verify the security code, which I entered correctly. This card was also the one I initially used when signing up for Scribd. My name is Corrina Hewitt, and I can be contacted at [redacted]. I had originally signed up with Facebook but later deleted my account, even though I had three days of reading time left. I have two email addresses: [redacted] and [redacted] On Facebook, I go by the name Corrina Klavon-Hewitt.

When I logged into my Scribd account, I noticed that my membership details were missing, and I was prompted to "rejoin" to download files. I attempted to reset my password suspecting a security breach, but did not receive any reset emails. Despite trying to log in through email and Google without Facebook, I found my email linked to Facebook without consent. I've been continuously disconnecting it. Despite no changes on my part and having paid through December, I'm unable to access my account and membership. Customer "support" has been unresponsive even after submitting a support ticket.

Hello. I am a student. I recently tried a free trial of Scribe but couldn't find enough information on my topic. I forgot to cancel my membership, and Scribd charged $10.61 to my card. Could you kindly refund this amount? I didn't receive any notification from Scribd regarding the deadline. As a student, I really need that money, and I'm in a difficult situation. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention.

I am a military personnel stationed in South Korea. I recently discovered unauthorized charges on my card for the past 15 months, all coming from scribd.inc. I do not recall ever subscribing to or using their services and suspect it could be a hacking incident. The charges began on October 6, [redacted], and have occurred monthly, each time around $10. When I checked Scribd's website using my Google ID, I found no current or past subscriptions. I am deeply concerned about these charges, whether they were done in error or with malicious intent. I would appreciate it if you could investigate the issue, provide a refund for the unauthorized charges, and ensure that these deductions from my card cease. Thank you for your assistance.

Hello everyone, I am Reta Buga, a retired woman from Bucharest, Romania, aged 67. Since November 28, [redacted], my debit card has been charged $10.7 monthly, which I recently discovered. I want to clarify a few points: - I have not created an account or made any purchases on Scribd with my email or smartphone. - I have not received any books or order confirmations from Scribd. - After reporting the issue to my bank, they did not find any suspicious activities, and I have already canceled my debit card. I suspect that my card details might have been compromised, leading to someone using them to create an account on Scribd with a different email address. I have informed the bank and filed a complaint with the police regarding this issue. I am seeking information related to the Scribd account created with my debit card details to ensure that the perpetrator is held accountable and prevent further unauthorized charges. Thank you, Reta Buga

I terminated my account several months ago, and despite this, I continue to receive notifications about ongoing charges to my PayPal. I'm encountering an issue accessing my account as logging in directs me to the initial page prompting a "start 30 days of trial" message. Consequently, I am unable to access my account to verify any additional subscriptions I might have on Scribd. It seems there is a persistent billing error as charges from my PayPal account persist.

I recently received an email from Scribd Support regarding a privacy incident. Despite not having an account with your company, I had signed up for a free 30-day trial in early January. I cancelled my trial after two weeks. Surprisingly, I discovered charges for $11.44 on January 23 and February 10 on my credit card from Scribd, even though I haven't used the website since cancelling my trial. I am requesting a full refund of $22.88 to be credited back to my card. This marks my third attempt to address this issue with your company, and I hope for a prompt resolution before further escalation becomes necessary.

Hello, I'm contacting you regarding charges on my account from two years ago. I canceled my membership upon graduating from college, as I do not recall signing up for this platform. Nonetheless, I've recently been billed around $10 this month. I want to clarify that I have not used nor intend to use this service in the future. Being no longer a student, I have no use for it. Despite attempting to cancel numerous times, the charges persist. I even tried canceling through TrueBill. Can we arrange a discussion with a representative? I have incurred substantial charges from Scribd due to this issue. The email associated with the account was my school email, now deactivated ([redacted]), but you can reach me at [redacted]

Subject: Issue with Recent Billing - Need Immediate Resolution Hi Scribd, I recently noticed a charge of $10.59 on my credit card statement dated March 8th, which I am disputing with my bank, Chase Bank. The charge relates to a Scribd subscription that was given as a gift to my daughter last fall. Despite her efforts to cancel the subscription in both January and February, the automatic charges have continued, with a new charge appearing in March. Given the repeated failure to honor cancelation requests, I have been left with no option but to dispute this charge. I urge you to promptly remove my daughter from your records and cease any further automatic charges as originally promised. Kindly update your records with the email address [redacted], as the account details were not directly shared with me. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. Best regards, Joel Fox

I am submitting my second attempt to cancel my Scribd account dated April 9, [redacted], under Order #: [redacted]03. I initially requested cancellation on June 4, [redacted], to avoid the $9.99 monthly charge on June 9, [redacted]. As per my first attempt, I wish to confirm my account cancellation and receipt of this request. My concern is having seen complaints of Scribd not canceling accounts, I seek reassurance that my cancellation will be processed promptly, with no withdrawals from my bank account. Thank you. Warm Regards, Ken.

Subject: Issue with Scribd Subscription Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to address a matter with my personal account ([redacted]) which I use for my YouTube activities. Last month, I inadvertently signed up for a Scribd free trial with this account instead of my business email, which I use for expense tracking purposes. Although I promptly canceled my subscription on Thursday, July 1st, and received confirmation, I was surprised to see a charge of £9.99 deducted on July 4th. Upon checking, I discovered that my subscription was still active, contrary to my cancellation. I kindly request a refund of the £9.99 as I do not plan to utilize this account further. I have not accessed any content since the renewal. I am attaching screenshots for your reference. Please process the refund to my card ending in [redacted]. I understand that I am reaching out on the first day of the issue, well within the 30-day window. Your prompt attention to this matter would be highly appreciated. Happy Independence Day if you are in the USA! Best Regards, Faiz Khawaja
