I would like to request a refund to my personal debit/banking card. On 10/20/23, I shopped at Meijer's store in Carmel, IND using Fastlane checkout #[redacted]. I had two transactions - the first was $15.45, and in the second transaction of $12.62, I had to re-start due to a forgotten item. Upon checking my bank account later, I noticed an additional unauthorized charge of $27.44 from Meijer's on the same checkout lane #[redacted] on the same date, which I did not make. I have diligently tried to resolve this issue by visiting Meijer's customer service, contacting my bank, and calling the bank's debit dispute hotline without success. Unfortunately, I did not receive a satisfactory response from the Meijer's customer service representative, which was disappointing. I only received receipts for the items I purchased, not for the $27.44 charge. It is disheartening that this situation has not been addressed promptly and professionally. There are signs positioned at the beginning and end of the candy display in the holiday aisle and in the fresh section at the Marysville, MI Meijer store stating "Buy 2 Get 1 Free of equal or lesser value." It seems that not all the candy in each display is included in the offer, which is confusing for customers. Some boxes also lack pricing, which is required by Michigan law. This issue affected my grocery shopping experience, and I am unsure if I will continue to shop at this store in the future.

Recently, I have been encountering issues with the groceries I purchased at Meijer. For example, I bought Meijer brand cream cheese that was moldy despite not reaching its expiration date until December [redacted]. Additionally, the avocados I purchased turned out to be black inside. This has been an ongoing problem for the past 6 months since the store in Elkhart opened. I’ve had strawberries, zucchinis, and lettuce go bad quickly after purchase. I am unsure if this is a local quality control problem or a widespread issue. The increasing costs of groceries make it frustrating to buy food that ends up being spoiled before I can use it.

The Southfield store is now having trouble processing our checks through their printers, which is a recent issue. We have been using the same checks there since they opened and have had no problems until now. Interestingly, we can use the same checks at Kroger and Costco without any issues. The store staff couldn't explain the sudden difficulty and even refused to accept the check today. We were advised to reach out to "corporate" to investigate why they are having trouble validating our checks.

Store Director of Meijer #[redacted], I have been a loyal customer at your store for 50 years and have generally had a positive experience with your services. However, today while picking up my online groceries, I encountered some issues. The young employee loading my groceries informed me that there was an issue with my payment, even though I have never had problems with my card before. After reaching out for assistance, I was told it was a system glitch. Though the problem was eventually resolved, my order was canceled due to the issue on your end. This recent experience, coupled with a previous error in my order, has left me feeling dissatisfied. It seems like there may be changes at your store affecting the quality of service and training for employees. I believe it's necessary to reevaluate your staff support, training, and procedures to ensure these incidents do not occur in the future. I recently purchased distilled water in Kettering, Ohio, and upon drinking it, I noticed a strange taste resembling gasoline, motor oil, or detergent. Initially, I attributed the taste to something I had eaten earlier, but after quickly drinking another glass, I regretted it immensely. I am concerned about what I may have ingested and how it could potentially impact my health. I am quite unhappy about this situation. Thank you, HJ.
