Facebook serves as our primary tool for assisting victims of the Camp Fire in Paradise, California last year. I am part of a volunteer group that helps reunite displaced owners with their pets who may have survived but are missing. We provide survivors with various resources for assistance and support, but our efforts face challenges as admins or volunteers often get restricted for violating Facebook's rules, like exceeding share limits. This repetition of being put in "Facebook jail" negatively impacts the victims of this disaster who have already lost so much. Facebook should distinguish genuine community resource volunteers from those using the platform for fraudulent activities and avoid suspending accounts like those of Victoria S., Jennifer H., Shara S., Jenn R., and others. We utilize Facebook for a noble cause but face recurring restrictions that only add more hardship to those who are already in distress post-disaster.

I accidentally damaged my phone, and now I can't access my Facebook account because my login details are on the old phone. I am unable to retrieve my access code since the email associated with my Facebook account is no longer in use. Dear community, I want to share my thoughts on using my real name on social media. In Romania, it's common for people to go by nicknames, and I prefer being called Catia instead of Catrinel. Everyone knows me as Kate, and changing it might affect finding me online. Keeping my full name private is crucial for safety reasons as identity theft is a real concern. Unfortunately, I'm facing issues accessing my tattoo shop's page due to the name policy. If I cannot use the name Kate Killedit, which clients recognize me by, I may have to deactivate my account. Hello, I am Bidduth Kanti Dhar, a Facebook user with the email [redacted] and the username Bidduth Dhar. Recently, I have been unable to access my Facebook account because I have forgotten my current password and cannot reset it. My Yahoo account, linked to my Facebook, has been removed by Yahoo due to inactivity. Despite my attempts to recover my Yahoo ID and communicating with Yahoo, I was informed that the email address has been deleted for prolonged inactivity. This is a genuine account with [redacted]% authenticity, and I have activated two-step verification on my Facebook account. However, I am not receiving the login code necessary for access. I have requested the code via text message multiple times, with no response or successful delivery. I recently noticed unauthorized charges on my business Ad debit card/checking account. Two charges were made on 4/23/[redacted], one for $[redacted].00 with the description 38J2AL6T FBME/ADS and another for $[redacted].00 with the description FACEBK 4G2NALSL2 Fb.me/ads. It seems hackers gained access to a Yahoo account belonging to one of my business associates, then used that information to take over their FACEBOOK profile, ultimately linking their FACEBOOK Ads payments to my debit/checking account. It appears that the hackers utilized Versace Reiffe's account information to link fraudulent Ads payments to my account. To prevent further fraudulent charges, I need assistance in freezing any related payments or ads connected to my account. I plan to contact the bank regarding this issue and address the unauthorized activity. Your help in stopping these thieves from victimizing others is greatly appreciated.

I need assistance with a refund issue. Multiple unauthorized charges were made to my account on 4/23/[redacted] totaling $[redacted]. The charges were made to two different Facebook Ads accounts. It appears that this occurred due to a security breach involving a colleague's Yahoo account, which was then used to access their Facebook profile and link it to my account. The hackers seem to be targeting accounts connected to business associates who have access to my account information. To prevent further unauthorized transactions, I request that all payments and ads associated with my debit/checking account be frozen immediately. I plan to notify my bank, but I also urge Facebook to take action and stop these thieves from exploiting other users.

Around 9 months ago, my phone and tablets were connected but got disconnected after a session expiration message. The phone had the latest profile pic, while the tablet had an older one. I am involved in creative activities such as art and poetry, and I have specific contacts on Messenger and Facebook. Due to this disconnection, Google Photos and my poetry account stayed linked, but Messenger and FB didn't. I encountered issues with AT&T last July over a warranty problem. Facebook then had another session expiration, merging two profiles with minimal connections. I tried to recover my correct profile with a recovery code sent to my email, but Facebook wasn't helpful. After almost 5 months, Facebook finally sent a message allowing me to log in, but I still face difficulties accessing my original profile. I am considering disconnecting from Facebook and requesting my history before leaving the platform.

I could access Facebook 24 hours ago as usual, but now I can't log in because my password was changed without my knowledge. I live alone, so I know no one else did it. I've been locked out for over a week now and even emailed Facebook, but received no response. I've had this account for 10 years and usually get reset codes via email to resolve password issues. It seems now the reset codes are being sent to my old Yahoo account, which I can't access. Despite providing my license for verification, I'm unable to retrieve my account. I'm an entertainer and business owner, and many people connect with me through Facebook. If I can't regain access, I might have to rely on Instagram instead. This is a new and frustrating experience for me after a decade on Facebook.

I've been experiencing issues for months regarding receiving email and Facebook notifications for new posts in the groups I admin. Despite reporting this problem to Facebook previously without any resolution, I continue to face the same issue. I require immediate notifications for moderation purposes, but instead, I have to manually check the group feed multiple times daily for new posts. The notifications I do receive come hours later, rendering them ineffective as discussions have already started. Additionally, I receive multiple notifications for the same post, causing me to miss other new posts. It seems a glitch in the coding is causing the system to focus on one new post instead of providing notifications for each post as desired. This issue has persisted for several months, and it's frustrating that it hasn't been resolved yet.

My Facebook account has been hacked. The hacker changed my phone number and password. They are using my identity to ask for money and creating fake accounts in my name. I unknowingly clicked on a link they sent me, leading to me being logged out of my account when I entered my login details. Attempts to reset my password were unsuccessful as the access code was sent to the hacker's phone number instead of mine. Despite contacting customer service last week, I received a message saying the problem was resolved when it clearly was not. I'm concerned about potential criminal activities happening under my name. Please take action to rectify this situation.

I am seeking advice regarding a situation with my Facebook account. I had to create a new account due to being hacked after engaging with someone on a dating app. To protect myself initially, I shared my Hangouts ID instead of my phone number. Unfortunately, the person obtained my phone number through our conversation and changed it without my consent. Consequently, I began receiving unfamiliar friend requests, leading me to realize that my account had been compromised. Last November on Giving Tuesday, I made a donation that was supposed to be matched. However, as of now, the designated non-profit has not received the funds. I donated as soon as the program started, so there should have been enough of the $7,[redacted],[redacted].00 available for matching. I have a transaction ID from PayPal for my payment, and the merchant on the transaction is Facebook Payments Inc.

The delay in this process is impacting my business as I am unable to post on the page due to the outdated name. On Facebook, I go by Marsha Harris Turley, and my photography business page was originally named Photography127. I made the change to match it with my name for easier recognition. Last week, a co-worker accused me of sending messages to her, displaying screenshots with my real profile picture and background image included. However, I never contacted this person and found no trace of the alleged messages on my Facebook account. After contacting the police for guidance (case number 19-[redacted]), they advised me to reach out to Facebook for assistance. I was attempting to join a Facebook group when I encountered an issue with the security code verification. Despite entering the exact code sent to me promptly, the system claimed it was incorrect or expired. When I attempted to request a new code, I received a message stating that I was using the feature incorrectly. These are the only options provided, and none of them are working. My Facebook account was disabled on Tuesday, April 20th at noon. I don't post any derogatory or racist comments. I mainly post about theater, film updates, TV trailers, and cartoons. I have noticed that my account has been slow, and I suspect that someone has hacked my page and is posting inappropriate content. I was previously barred for 8 days without any given reason a month ago. I have been trying to reach out to Facebook, but I am unable to get through to them.

I was recently blocked from responding to other users on the platform. When I saw a post with offensive content targeting Muslim individuals, I replied in a similar tone, yet my post was removed. I noted several false profiles, mostly from other countries, posing as women with suggestive images. However, upon discovering that they were actually black men from Africa, no action was taken. The inconsistency in handling different types of offensive content is concerning. As a user, I feel unfairly targeted and censored. I urge the platform to address these issues promptly to ensure fairness for all users.
