I have been a Capitol One customer for a while now. Recently, I ordered paint from Napa Auto Parts in Silver City, New Mexico. Despite the store promising me daily that the paint would be ready the next day, a week later, I still hadn't received it. After filing a dispute with my credit card company, they initially refunded my money. However, Napa responded by falsely claiming they provided the paint. I submitted proof that I never received the product, leading Capitol One to reverse the charges. Upon checking my account today, it appears they are reversing the charges again to benefit Napa. This situation is frustrating, as Napa refuses to provide a refund. Despite Capitol One closing the dispute, I am considering paying off and closing my credit card account due to this experience. It's unfair for a business to keep my money without delivering the product, unlike when I had a dispute with Chase Bank and the charge was not reversed.

I am having trouble reaching Capital One's customer service. After switching carriers to AT&T with a new number, [redacted], my calls kept dropping. I then switched to T-Mobile with the same number but still cannot connect with Capital One. It seems my number is blocked as my old number, [redacted], worked fine but is no longer in use. When trying to pay online, I noticed my old number is still listed, and I am unable to update it. I attempted to call multiple times from the 26th to the 28th, but all my calls failed. I had C.O. send the payment on the 28th, but it didn't reach them until the 3rd, resulting in a $29 late fee due to Capital One blocking my number.

I keep getting notifications about payments that couldn't be processed due to insufficient funds. While it's helpful to know, I never see who the payment was meant for. This crucial detail is missing in the emails, online statements, and texts. It leads to unnecessary stress as I'm left guessing who didn't get paid. Is this omission deliberate or am I overlooking something? Thank you, Zane Seligman, email: [redacted]

After transferring money from Cash App to my account, initially, it showed the cash out. Later, a transaction appeared as a purchase from Cash App, resulting in missing funds from my account. Despite speaking to three representatives and initiating an investigation, they denied my claim for missing funds. Now, there's $[redacted] unaccounted for, and Cash App maintains they did not transfer the funds.

I have had my account for three months now and Capital One has restricted my credit card, placing it in the Fraud department's hands. Despite sending in the required documents for verification, they have not called me back as promised. I would like them to promptly verify me and lift the restrictions on my credit card today. I find it frustrating that the call center representatives seem unhelpful and just follow scripted responses without addressing my concerns effectively.

Dear Capital One, I am reaching out regarding late payments on my account. Despite contacting customer service and explaining my circumstances, I encountered health issues last year, including two heart attacks and blood clots in my lungs, which resulted in an extended hospital stay. With no family support, I believed I had made timely payments on my account. Upon checking my credit report, I noticed late payments on 12-22 of five dollars, 2-23 of sixteen dollars, and 01-23 of five dollars. This information came as a surprise when I attempted to refinance my home. I humbly request that you review my account and consider removing these late payment notifications. After serving in law enforcement for 22 years, I am unfortunately retiring. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your understanding and support.

I lost my credit card at a gas station while traveling. I realized this two hours later. Capital One issued me a new card. Verizon, my phone provider, was informed by Capital One about potential fraudulent activities. As a result, Verizon suspended my account. They have requested Capital One to remove the fraudulent activity notice for them to reinstate my phone services.

I cancelled my GAP warranties, and I was informed that the dealership might be charged for the cancellation because my payoff date was noted as 5/24 instead of 5/20. The payoff letter from 5/24 does not specify the payoff date. I am unsure how to determine the accurate payoff date. Furthermore, they are requesting copies of the refund checks issued by the warranty administrator, JMA, but I am unable to obtain them as JMA refuses to provide copies of the checks. The cancellation printouts include check numbers. Both Capital One and JMA are not cooperating with me on this matter. For any assistance, please contact me at [redacted]. I am employed at Kuhn VW Tampa.

I have 2 Capital One accounts and am currently in Ecuador. Unfortunately, I misplaced both cards and requested replacements to my address in Oregon for my sister to forward them to me. I am unable to receive text messages on my Ecuadorian phone to verify my identity. I provided a copy of my expired Oregon driver's license, which was not accepted, and customer service also refused a copy of my passport. I inquired about closing the accounts, but I can't do so without verifying my identity. I find myself unable to access my accounts and am still being charged a yearly fee. I receive daily emails asking me to refer others to Capital One, but given my current situation, I am perplexed about why I would do so. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Last night, there was a charge attempted on my card that exceeded my limit and was fortunately declined. Currently in South Korea, I've had no luck reaching Capital One via both my Korean and American phone numbers. I've attempted dialing the international number using various methods like adding [redacted] 1 before the number, but the system prompts for the plus button for an international call. However, attempting to press or hold 0 to input a plus sign results in disconnection. Even trying to include a plus sign before dialing [redacted] 1 leads to a message stating the number is not in service. As a temporary measure, I have locked my card, but this complicates my ability to address the unauthorized charge while it remains my primary payment method while traveling.

I mistakenly used the wrong last 4 digits of my credit card when making a $[redacted] payment to Cap 1 on May 2, [redacted]. My bank shows evidence of the payment with a confirmation code. I have tried to resolve this issue seven times, providing both the incorrect and correct card information. Each time, after being placed on hold, I hear electronic sounds and then the call disconnects. I am unable to request a callback. I have reiterated my correct card details multiple times. John mentioned an investigation on the sixth call, but Miranda denied it today. I am often left on hold for a long time before the call drops. I have been in touch with Cabrillo, Richard, Rick, Natalia, John, and Miranda. I have maintained a polite approach with no use of inappropriate language. They refuse to call back or respond via email.

I am currently at La Bellasera Hotel and Suites in Paso Robles, CA. There seems to be a payment mix-up for a guest who claims the room was already paid for. We might have charged the wrong card. Can you confirm if we should have charged the VC card ending in ...[redacted] instead of the guest's card? The guest's Capital One Travel number is H-RZ82BGF3Z32H, and the email is [redacted] The guest did not provide the Capital One Venture Visa *[redacted] card at check-in. Assistance in verifying the correct card for billing and correcting the charges would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Best regards, R.B. La Bellasera Hotel and Suites Paso Robles, CA

When my husband passed away, I contacted Capitol One to inform them of the situation. Unfortunately, they proceeded to cancel my credit card without notifying me beforehand. I faced difficulties in unfreezing my credit information with various agencies, and my applications were rejected due to the number of inquiries made. I am struggling to manage without a credit card. Can you review my credit history and provide me with a new card? I am unsure if I need to unfreeze my information at all three credit bureaus. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - Elizabeth P.

I visited a Capital One ATM on Claiborne Ave in New Orleans, LA, at 11:53pm. I inserted my card and followed the instructions, entering my pin and requesting a $[redacted] withdrawal. The transaction was declined at two separate ATMs, but later I checked my account online and saw that the $[redacted] had been withdrawn from the Capital One ATM.

I contacted Capital One yesterday and multiple times today to dispute a charge from a Walmart online pickup order. I was charged $65.47 for non-food items totaling $20.98. Capital One asked me to reach out to Walmart to obtain email proof of the charges on my EBT card versus my Capital One card. Despite trying multiple times today, Walmart was unable to provide the requested information and claimed they do not have access to it. I provided answers through the online banking app and shared screenshots as I don't own a printer. Despite explaining this, my case was closed by Capital One for not providing all the necessary information. I have lodged complaints with the BBB against Walmart and Capital One. I am considering canceling my credit card and discontinuing shopping at Walmart or Walmart.com.

My wife and I recently received a letter concerning our REI Co-op Mastercard issued by Capital One with the account ending in [redacted]. The letter requested the Secondary Account Holder's Date of Birth to comply with Federal law. We tried calling the number provided (1-[redacted]) but were informed it was only for Debit cards. We were then given another number that requested more sensitive information, such as our bank account number, which we are hesitant to provide. We are willing to provide the requested information, but we need the correct phone number to do so. The letter mentions that if we do not provide the information by July 31st, our account may be cancelled, which concerns us even though we always pay our bills on time. While we appreciate the benefits of the REI card, it is ultimately just a convenience for us. If this issue cannot be resolved and the account is closed as stated in the letter by September 8, [redacted], we will accept it. Just to confirm, the Secondary Account Holder's Date of Birth is November 7, [redacted]. Regards, L.K. Wells & C.H. Wells III

I have been a loyal Capital One customer for nearly 30 years. Recently, I had a late payment due to a tragic event in my family. Despite promptly paying off the balance and having the late fee waived by a representative with a promise to waive the interest as well, I was informed on July 7th that the interest could not be waived without a proper authorization. I was surprised and disappointed by this inconsistency. If I am unable to receive assistance regarding this matter, I may have no choice but to close my account.

I require access to my account. When I attempt to sign in, I am informed that a verification code will be sent to my old phone number, which is no longer in use due to damage. Upon entering my new number, it is not accepted. I contacted support yesterday, and they instructed me to verify my identity with my driver's license. However, the code was sent to the phone I used to make the call, but when I clicked on it, I was directed back to the initial verification code screen. As a result, my debit card is currently blocked, and I urgently need to access my funds and account. The current situation is very frustrating.
